Scarborough Commits To Brunswick CC

Three-year Millbrook Basketball letterwinner, Adrian Scarborough has announced that he will continue his basketball career at the collegiate level by attending Brunswick Community College this upcoming fall. Scarborough's signing ceremony will be held at Millbrook High School on Tuesday, July 17th at 4:00 PM.

Scarborough becomes the 17th former Wildcat in the past five seasons to move on from the Varsity basketball program to play either collegiate football or basketball.

Adrian played all four years in the program becoming the only athlete to move from the freshman team to the varsity level after one season. He lettered three times, and established himself as the 26th all-time leading scorer in program history with 624 career points.

The 2017-18 season saw Scarborough total 339 points, and start all 29 games as a versatile post and wing for coach Christopher Davis’ Wildcats. He scored in double figures on 17 occasions, and totaled a career-high 22 points twice; which included a victory in the first round of the state playoffs over Lumberton.

On the glass, Adrian joined an exclusive group of five other Wildcats to score 600 points, and grab 400 rebounds in a career. Scarborough tallied seven double-doubles as a senior highlighted by a 16-rebound performance in the Cap-7 Conference Tournament Semi-Finals against Leesville Road.

Along with earning All-Tournament merits at the 2017 Lake City Classic in Acworth, Georgia, Scarborough was named First Team All-Conference his senior season by the Cap-7.

Brunswick Community College is a Division-I Junior College located in Supply, NC. Last season, the Dolphins played to a 16-14 overall record under the direction of head coach Walter Shaw. Shaw has helped 27 athletes move on to play at four-year schools in the past five seasons.
