Millbrook Closes Jamboree With Victory

Bradley Barnes registered 14 points, Nolan Dorsey dished out nine assists, and William Felton grabbed seven rebounds in a 51-27 victory over East Bladen to finish the Pender High Jamboree with a 2-1 record.

Jai McRae lead the Wildcats at the halftime break with eight points. The junior registered a three point play following an offensive rebound, then stepped back and sank a three point basket from long range. Dorsey added all six of his points in the first half.

Millbrook cruised to the victory on the strength of a 20-point second half. Felton paired his seven boards with four points, Sam Hood sank four points in both halves for a game total of eight, and Isaiah Lewis let loose a three point basket for six points of his own.

Barnes stole the show with four field goals in the second half, including two from long range. The junior guard's offensive output was the most points from a Wildcat player over the course of the three game jamboree.

Millbrook finished the jamboree with 2-1 overall record. The Wildcats defeated Cape Fear Christian Academy, fell by 11 to Knightdale, and earned the victory over East Bladen 51-27.

Coach Christopher Davis' squad returns to action next Saturday for its final two preseason contests. The opponents are to be announced for the event that will take place at South Garner High School.
