May 18, 2018

The Millbrook Men’s Basketball program will have a new head basketball coach at the Junior Varsity level for the 2018-19 season. Blair Roberts has been named to the position after four years spent at Page High School in Greensboro, NC.

Roberts will also help as an assistant to the Wildcats at the Varsity level, and serve as a  mathematics teacher at the school.

Roberts, 29, brings six years of coaching experience to Millbrook. With the Page Men’s Basketball program, Coach Roberts helped guide the Pirates to postseason appearances in each season that he was on the bench. Page qualified for the 4A sectional finals in three of the past four seasons.

In the AAU circuit, Roberts helps on staff with Team Felton’s 16U program. 32 alumni of the Team Felton AAU program have moved on to play collegiate football or basketball since 2016.

Last season, the Junior Varsity program strung together an undefeated season en route to its second JV Conference Championship in the last three seasons.

Millbrook Junior Varsity opens its season November 19th when the Wildcats welcome Heritage High School to town. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:00 PM, Varsity will take on the Huskies approximately ten minutes after the conclusion of that game.
